What Is Benson Social?
From Your Algorithm to Our Stage
A call back to a tradition 100 years-old, the Benson Social is a new take on a classic. Curated evenings with our favorite, most evocative social media artists, sensations, and changemakers. Benson Social invites unique and thriving personalities to our stage to share their passion and talent with all of Omaha, bringing the viral stars of our modern age to our stage. From comedy and music to illustration and intergenerational creative collaboration, you’ll see the best of your social media feed brought to life to connect with them beyond the blue light.
By bringing more touring artists and performers with followings to Benson, we enhance our goal to be a cultural hub and remind the US we’re more than just a town to drive through, strengthening the impact Omaha has on the artistic landscape of the country.
We want to find new ways to engage with audiences of all ages, generations, and interests. In our discussions about what will bring people to the theater, we found that giving them access to the faces they most often see in their feeds would be a unique way to not only provide entertainment to our patrons, but to allow them to connect on a deeper level with workshops, talkbacks, meet & greets, and more.
Below are the acts we’ve got lined up! Find your dates, grab your tickets, and we’ll see you at the theatre!

HumbirdMay 9th
Humbird knows there’s something refreshingly humane about uncertainty – about having the guts to try, even if you might be wrong. This is the gentral tenant of her third full-length album, Right On, a radical ethos in this soap-box age, and an effort worth turning up the amps for, resulting in the project’s most electric, playful, mettled record yet. Siri Undlin (the songwriter behind the moniker) and her collaborators tracked live and to tape over the course of two muggy weeks in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, creating a collection of songs unafraid of ambiguity resulting in music that bares teeth.
