Brand Identity
TBD — confirm with Marin during discovery call: match existing / refresh / full rebrand. - Match existing → pull current brand guide from Drive/Basecamp, populate palette + type here. - Refresh / rebrand → existing guide is reference only; new system gets defined in the Design phase. - Current site uses olive-green on cream — color contrast may not pass WCAG 4.5:1 ratio, worth measuring.

Discovery Status
The scout brief at assets/2026-05-07-scout-brief.html is the pre-call research deliverable. It covers:
- Who CenterPointe is (org, staff, funding, programs, service area)
- The HHS Section 504 deadline (May 11, 2026) and what compliance actually means
- The competitive landscape (Bridge Behavioral Health, LFS, Community Alliance, Heartland, etc.)
- Why accessibility overlays (AccessiBe / UserWay / AudioEye) are the wrong answer
- A 30-day defensible-posture plan that can run inside Firespring while a rebuild is planned
- Twelve ranked website opportunities with three pitch leads
- Talking points + the five questions to open the call with
Open the brief in Chrome before the discovery call.
The pitch shape (working hypothesis, refine after call)
- 30-day defensible posture inside Firespring — accessibility statement, baseline scan, top-10 remediation via Custom Site Code, signed rebuild contract as evidence of "good-faith remediation in progress." Mid-four-figures.
- 4-6 month rebuild on a stack with WCAG 2.1 AA baked into the design system — eliminates the audit treadmill, three-front-doors IA, care-finder, multilingual, story-driven trust.
- Don't recommend an overlay. FTC fined AccessiBe $1M in April 2025; 22.6% of sites sued in 2025 already had overlays installed; HHS OCR doesn't accept them as evidence of compliance.

2026-05-07 — Discovery call complete, proposal in flight
11:00 AM CDT call with Marin King (Marketing & Comms Mgr) and Megan (VP of Development). Eric and Kristin from G&M. Full takeaways in 2026-05-07-granola-discovery.md, full transcript in 2026-05-07-granola-discovery-transcript.md.
What landed: custom WordPress build with accessibility built-in, 4-phase / 120-day approach, AI program-matcher, federal-language word filter, BlackBaud integration, training videos, defensible-posture framing on the May 11 deadline.
Net new requirements from the call: federal-language word filter (new admin restricts terms like "harm reduction" and certain LGBTQ phrasings — Marin to send the list), AI-powered intake for routing users across 40+ programs, BlackBaud integration, event registrations.
Discovery surprise: they found us via ChatGPT / Google search, not a referral. Useful for our SEO + LLM-visibility tracking.
Status: Pre-signing — proposal due 2026-05-19 or 2026-05-20.
2026-05-07 — Pre-call research complete, hub scaffolded
Pulled the original Project Inquiry email and ran the full Scout pass: org snapshot, regulatory anchor (HHS Section 504, May 11 deadline), tech-stack tell (Firespring), competitive landscape, 12 ranked website opportunities, talking points, 5 opening questions. Brief saved to assets/2026-05-07-scout-brief.html.
Key finding: Marin's "$1,600 audit" quote is Firespring's published $1,645 accessibility audit package, not a one-off upsell. Structural problem is the audit alone doesn't fix anything and Firespring's templated CMS isn't built for component-level accessibility.
Status: Pre-call brief delivered; discovery scheduled for 11 AM same day.
