Hearts & Fire — Loom Talking Points
The Good News
- Your Lightspeed subscription already includes a full e-commerce platform — you just haven't turned it on yet
- Everything stays in one system: same inventory, same payment processor, same Lightspeed you already use
How It Works
- We build your new branded website as part of the rebrand
- The shop section of the site is powered by Lightspeed's built-in online store (called eCom)
- You manage your products the same way you do now — in Lightspeed
- When you flag an item as "available online," it automatically shows up on the website
- Customers browse, add to cart, and check out without ever leaving your site
- Payment is handled by the same Lightspeed Payments you use in-store — credit cards, Apple Pay, etc.
- When an order comes in, it shows up in your POS just like an in-store sale
- Inventory updates automatically — if something sells online, your in-store count adjusts in real time
What We'd Sell Online
- Small shippable items — candles, sculptures, decor (under $500)
- Larger furniture pieces stay in-store only (no shipping headaches)
- Shipping rates kept simple — flat rate or tiered by category
What You'd Need to Do
- Let your Lightspeed Account Manager know you want to activate eCom
- Make sure the items you want to sell online have a photo, category, and brand in Lightspeed
- We handle everything else — the website, the integration, the styling
Why This Approach
- No second platform to manage (no separate Shopify subscription)
- No splitting inventory between two systems
- One payment processor for in-store and online
- Proven technology — the platform behind this has been doing exactly this for 15+ years
