About the Organizations
Family Service Lincoln (FSL)
- Mission: Helping women, infants, and children stay healthy and strong; community wellness
- Lincoln, Nebraska
- Old website on WordPress/Divi, difficult to update/manage
- Hard to navigate for clients trying to find programs/resources
Community Crops
- Founded 2003 with one community garden
- Now: 11 community garden sites, training farm, production greenhouse, educational programming, mobile farmers market, storefront
- Became a program of FSL in 2023 (all staff + programming unchanged)
- 4 full-time staff + volunteers

Client Goals
From the project inquiry:
"Re-design our Family Service Lincoln website by bringing the format design up to date, adding in helpful information like upcoming events, and creating an ease of navigation to our programs and the resources that clients need to access. We would like our website to feel up-to-date, while reflecting our culture and connection to community."
- Combine three sites (FSL + Community Crops + FiftyOne Commons) into one cohesive site
- Modern, up-to-date look and feel
- Easy navigation for programs and client resources

- CTAs for volunteering, donating, newsletter signups
- Easier to update/manage (currently very difficult with one person)

WordPress CMS includes: - Up to 20 content modules - Up to 2 custom post types - Gravity Forms integration - Search functionality - Optional ADA accessibility via accessiBe (recurring annual fee, starts at $490 — client pays) - Language translation - Donation integration - Google Maps integration
Design: Up to 10 unique page layouts (determined during Strategy)
SEO: Analytics setup, keywords/metatags, 301 redirects, sitemap submission, social cards
Excluded from scope: - Hosting (G&M recommends Flywheel, will help client set up) - Plugins with recurring fees (client pays) - All content: text, images, videos (client provides)

Note: Content delays contribute to 70% of project setbacks. Client should start auditing content ASAP.
What the client needs to bring: - Decision makers who can review and provide feedback at each phase - A dedicated project lead (facilitates conversation, drives decisions) - Content wrangler (gathers images, writes/sends copy, provides login credentials/assets) - Clear, concise, consolidated feedback
Photography
- Client is exploring photographers separately
- G&M recommended Daniel Muller (works with many G&M clients)
- Estimated $5K–$8K for photography/videography
- G&M offered art direction + photographer coordination as part of scope

- MSA sent March 19, 2026
- Crystal said CEO Dennis would sign Monday March 23 — likely signed
- Project confirmed March 18, 2026
Current Sites — Tech Notes
All three sites currently run WordPress with Divi theme (Elegant Themes). G&M will build a custom WordPress theme — not Divi.
